Children and YouthChildren receive training from an early age to lead the Sunday worship as acolytes, lectors, and altar servers. Younger children leave the service for Sunday School and return for Holy Eucharist.Sunday School is a "one-room schoolhouse" with 13 children enrolled. Each week, lessons are mailed to those students who missed class on Sunday. In this way, we have incorporated "home schooling" into the plan. In the spring, much of the curriculum is about "Green Grace," with hands-on studies of seeds & gardens, worms & compost, sunlight & soil--all parts of God's good creation. First Communion Classes are offered at any time of year, whenever a child requests. Teens are invited to participate in "The Link," an twice-monthly ecumenical worship experience that includes youth from several churches in Everett and surrounding cities. Confirmation class is offered in the spring for youth and adults. All children are given the opportunity to attend summer programs at the Barbara C. Harris Camp in New Hampshire, with camperships are available for every child who needs one. The Family Weekend in June is wildly popular with parishioners of all ages.
